Research overview
My research focuses on the development and application of geospatial models in the context of urban analytics. I study innovative methods to explore how current Data Science and Machine Learning techniques can help us understand the underlying process behind different urban aspects, like commuting patterns and transport inequality

Teaching
For the MSc Geographic Data Science, I teach the following modules:
Introduction to Geographic Data ScienceGeospatial Programming and Spatial Machine Learning
GeoAI for Social and Urban Applications
In these modules I review different subjects, from how to collect, wrangled and analyse spatial data, to how to build Machine Learning Models with an spatial twist.
I use different technological tools in my courses, including Python, R, DuckDB and QGIS.
At UG (level 4) I teach the Mapping our World module, where students learn cartographic concepts and basic GIS techniques.Teaching modules
